Sustainable solutions and optimal use of resources
The United Business Center office buildings are built taking into account the principles of sustainability and the minimal impact on the environment. Due to the implemented solutions, the materials used and the way in which their operation is planned, they fall into the generic category called “green buildings”.
Among the green solutions implemented are:
- Reduction of electricity consumption through increased natural light, automatic adjustment of the light intensity inside and thanks to the intelligent system of automation of electrical installations.
- Ensuring optimum volume of fresh air and constant temperature, by using state-of-the-art ventilation systems, as well as thanks to the special glass facades, which offer thermal and solar protection.
- Encourage employees to travel by bicycle, by providing bicycle parking stands and showers and changing rooms for those who come to the office with this means of transport.
The United Business Center office buildings in Iași, Cluj and Timișoara are certified or under certification by the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council. This certification system is the most important program for buildings, homes and communities that are designed, built, maintained and operated in order to achieve improved performance for the health of the environment and people. The ultimate goal of this program is to encourage users to take responsibility for protecting the environment through the efficient use of resources.
U.S. Green Building Council is a non-profit organization, the most well-known promoter of sustainability in terms of construction, design and use of buildings, both for personal housing and for corporate spaces. The green building certification program implemented by them is known and used worldwide.
